The concept of osmogenic barrier derives from the possibility of using adequate chemical components capable to stop malodorous molecules by placing themselves along their trajectory. An osmogenic barrier is made by freeing in the air, at defined time intervals, mists made of microscopic water drops, each one of which contains billions of micelles. During time-of-flight, the micro-drops and micelles inside them intercept the malodorous molecules, firmly block them, thus neutralizing the functionalities that make them osmo-active.

In fact, the maximum deodorizing action will occur under conditions in which micronization generates the maximum possible number of nano-particles. This can be ensured only by using adequate spraying systems working at high pressures and allowing for the so-called “fog” value (LMD, i.e. Low Micronic Dimension).
